{"id":16747,"date":"2023-10-12T09:10:50","date_gmt":"2023-10-12T06:10:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wpml.indexo.lv\/?p=16747"},"modified":"2024-06-05T11:00:27","modified_gmt":"2024-06-05T08:00:27","slug":"decision-on-indexo-banking-license-expected-by-december-13","status":"publish","type":"zinas","link":"https:\/\/staging.indexo.lv\/en\/zinas\/decision-on-indexo-banking-license-expected-by-december-13\/","title":{"rendered":"Decision on INDEXO banking license expected by December 13"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Pension management company <em>IPAS Indexo<\/em> (hereinafter \u2013 <em>INDEXO<\/em>) that is presently developing a new commercial bank and has submitted its application for obtaining a banking license, has received a letter from the Bank of Latvia, which informs that the Bank of Latvia and the European Central Bank acknowledge that the documents submitted by <em>INDEXO<\/em> are complete, and the Bank of Latvia has started the review process. The Bank of Latvia says in the letter that the deadline for reviewing the application is December 13, unless additional information is required.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bank of Latvia also said that during the document review process, the Bank of Latvia and the European Central Bank might have additional questions to clarify the contents of the documents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe new <em>INDEXO<\/em> bank is almost ready. In a year we have done a significant amount of work. We have built a team of professionals, we have developed the necessary policies and processes, we have created the banking product offer. Also, we have introduced the necessary technological solutions, and, for example, at present we are already testing the bank\u2019s mobile application with \u201cgame money\u201d. Technically, we will be ready to open the new client accounts very soon after the banking license is issued,\u201d said Valdis Siksnis, Board Chairman and one of the founders of <em>INDEXO<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCooperation with the Bank of Latvia has been considerable, and in the licensing process we had to prove full readiness for banking operations.
